Bjerkebæk is one of Lillehammer’s most beautiful cultural attractions, and you will have the privilege of experiencing Sigrid Undset’s home the way it was when the famous author herself lived there.
Maihaugen is a cultural history museum for Gudbrandsdalen and Lillehammer, and comprises some 200 buildings – ranging from complete smallholdings to manor farms.
Lillehammer Art Museum is considered one of the country’s most significant of its kind, and is located in the heart of Lillehammer. The museum is home to a collection comprising several important Norwegian works of art from the 1800s to today.
Aulestad farm enjoys a beautiful and sunny location in Gausdal. This is where Nobel LaureateBjørnstjerne Bjørnson (1832-1910) lived with his wife Karoline for 35 years, and where he drew inspiration for literary his work and political commitment. Together, the couple created their very own European-style townhouse in the country.
